JUGHEADS

Girls
Elite Club This is a
club designed especially for advanced and expert girls. Animated conversations,
pursuit of high skills and nurturing of years-long friendships define
this weekly staple for a very unique group of female adolescents. See
below for a listing of all the standards required for entrance into this
club. NOTE: Due to a minority population of girls in JUGHEADS, Coach
Paul is flexible on prospective Girls' Elite members meeting all of the
standards. However, he does expect each girl to achieve at least half
(50%) of the standards before the end of the school year. Girls Elite Club runs every Friday from 2:45 - 6pm when Edina Public Schools are in session. How can my child join a JUGHEADS club or camp? Contact Paul (jugheads@comcast.net or 952.926.0896) or if your child has the director's approval, you can register online. Technical Juggling Standards (updated Fall 2007):
Commitment Standards:
NOTE: If a standard is not met, the Jughead must at least achieve 50% of that standard. As a "make-up," the Jughead must double two other standards or quadruple one other standard. For example, if only 5 DHT with 4 clubs has been achieved, the Jughead could make up for this shortfall by getting 20 with 7 club passing and getting 60 with 4 rings -OR-getting 200 with 5 balls (quadrupling the Elite standard of 50 catches). Even with this "make-up," however, the Jughead is subject to being passed over for membership in favor of other Jugheads who have met every standard. Even though the average Elite girl in JH is less experienced than the average boy, each member of Girls Elite Club is expected to have at least half of the standards above in order to be in Girls Elite Club. Alternatives are joining Monday, Wednesday, or Thursday Rec. Clubs. How can my child join a JUGHEADS club or camp? Contact Paul (jugheads@comcast.net or 952.926.0896) or if your child has the director's approval, you can register online.
