Thanks-Giving”

For all of my strengths of building a career on enthusiasm toward and encouragement of youth, I have one weakness (among many) that often drags me down: I am thin-skinned. For whatever reason, I can often let one failure or criticism cloud a mountain of accomplishments or kudos. Having said that, it is all the more remarkable that I have thrived in youth work for so long. In a field where a professional is almost guaranteed to disappoint kids and parents on a daily basis, I can honestly say that I’m overwhelmed with the support and encouragement from you families. It helps keep me going. What a wonderful cycle: mutual encouragement for the benefit of our youth. Thank you.
