"Hope
and a Future"

For all the
times I’ve struggled with keeping this program alive...for all the
times I’ve questioned my ability to lead it...for all the frustrations
of sharing space in a very well-used community center...for all the times
I’ve faced the challenges of dealing with such a diverse range of
ages, abilities and attitudes...I feel such a peace and such a hope for
what JH is now becoming. As Wendy recently put it, “We’re on
the cusp of an exciting time for JH.” All the news this month prevents
me from waxing more eloquent about the joys experienced and thank yous
due as a result of JJ6s and the completion of our 10th year. A concise
way to express my feelings about the present and future state of JH comes
from one of my favorite Bible verses: “‘For I know the plans
I have for you,’ declares the LORD, ‘plans to prosper you and
not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.’” (Jer.
29:11) JUGHEADS is blessed, and Wendy and I are thankful..
