“Surprised
by Thriving”

A new name. A new Web domain. A new camp tradition. Lots o’ changes in the air! (A little St. Patrick’s Day lingo.) In a word, I’m excited and energized by these changes. Just a year ago, as I was preparing to resign as the WISE GUYS Manager, I didn’t know if the juggling clubs would even survive. Seriously. Well, if statistics mean anything, I have more jugglers now than at any other time in my 5-year coaching career! Why is this the case? My clever marketing? A government mandate? No, no. This juggling company represents American ideals: offer a free market service or product, and it dies or thrives according to the demand it meets.
Based on the feedback I’ve received this year from all walks of parenting life, this Club fulfills a need. A need for belonging, for skill challenges, for goal-setting, for permission to be a kid. Believe me, I really have no secret ambitions apart from following my calling. If youth will come, I will pour out my talents, love and hospitality on them until they’re convinced that this is truly a place for them. Upheld by supportive parents, this resilient operation will continue to thrive as a unique niche for the betterment of the kids and the joy of the Coach.
