JUGHEADS
|
REGISTRATION OPTIONS: Kids may sign up for a week of morning or afternoon sessions according to their skill level. Kids new to Jugheads should sign up for a morning camp session regardless of ability level before purchasing a puchcard (exceptions can be made, but email us with your situation/request). Kids signing up for a week of morning AND afternoon sessions during the same week (or using two punches for one day) have the option of eating bag lunches with other Jugheads from Noon-1 pm. Summer Punchcards are available in half-day increments of 1, 5, 10, and 20 punches. Punchcards are valid June 11-July 11 and may be shared by siblings, allowing for maximum flexibility. (Punchcard attendance is kept on a master list; therefore, there is not a physical card you child will need to bring each day.) While it is helpful to let us know in advance when your child will be attending with his/her punchcard, it is not required and punches may be used for morning or afternoon sessions. The Summer Juggling Season Pass is for committed jugglers wanting to juggle for five straight weeks-all morning and afternoon camps from June 11-July 11 and both Mega All-Day Juggling Camps on June 9-10. STRUCTURE: Director Paul Arneberg kicks off every camp morning* with a group meeting, during which introductions are made, videos are studied, skills are demonstrated, and goals are set. Varsity-level Jugheads serve as Assistants at every morning and afternoon camp, making for low coach-student ratios and diverse teaching styles. Our juggling camps are "continuous progress" -beginners aren't pushed too hard, and experts aren't held back. The effort put into each camp will determine what each juggler gets out of the camp. COACHES:
Paul Arneberg and/or Scott Richter
will be the coaches leading the summer sessions with help from high school-aged
student assistants. On most days (but not all*), Paul will be the primary
coach in charge. The student assistants are seasoned JUGHEADS members
whose skill in instruction, passing, leadership, and mentorship are a
valuable resource to beginning to expert campers. Two to three JH assistants
are on site for each morning and afternoon session. * Scott Richter will
be the coach in charge June 30-July 3. LOCATION: All summer camps will be based in the gym of Wooddale Church-Edina (5532 Wooddale Avenue, Edina, MN). When arriving or leaving, please observe the following courtesies to our neighbors and the church: 1) Use the church parking lot rather than 56th St. 2) Enter through the main church doors and use the stairs to go downstairs and take the hallway on the right to the south end of the church.
